Smoak

PMPA's General Manager is Coleman Smoak. He has been involved in the public power industry for more than 35 years. From 1985 to 2006, he was the General Manager of the Commission of Public Works of Laurens, SC, a municipally-owned combined utility system and one of PMPA's Members. Mr. Smoak is a former member of PMPA's Board of Directors and served as Chairman from 1989 through 1993.

Legislative Affairs

 


Griffin

PMPA's legislative activities include establishing, prioritizing, updating and lobbying legislative groups to ensure the agency's and its members' interests are considered in the legislative and regulatory process. These activities include direct interaction with the S.C. General Assembly, the Governor's Office, the Public Service Commission and the U.S. Congress, as well as grass-roots groups among the 10 member communities.
