Laurens was given national exposure when The Learning Channel produced a series featuring the town which aired in early 2005. The “Town Haul” episodes resulted in public improvements and private renovations worth millions and sparked a tourism boom for the city.
The town has supported this momentum through additional investments in landscaping, recreation site improvements and the downtown infrastructure. The media attention and revitalization efforts assure a healthy outlook for the progressive community.
